I began my professional career as an engineer, working behind the scenes to keep computer systems running, solving problems, and researching better ways to support system users by creating and delivering technical guides and technical learning opportunities. My ability to question and listen effectively was instrumental to my success in these professional roles. When I reached the half-century mark of my life, after having found great fulfillment in mentoring and informally coaching young professionals and my own children, I found myself called to working behind the scenes in a different capacity. I took a new path and began a journey towards achieving certification as a professional life coach. My training with Christian Coach Institute advanced my questioning and listening skills to draw out the gifts, potential, and aspirations in others, helped me discover my strengths as a motivator and encourager, and fostered my trust in the Holy Spirit to help others discover and embrace a new path in their lives.
